Steamboat
Ski Town USA®
Steamboat Springs is located in the Rocky Mountains of Northwest Colorado and is most well known for its Champagne Powder® snow, great year-round family resort activities and warm western hospitality. You won’t find a ski resort with more personality and genuine friendly atmosphere than Steamboat.
There is plenty to do in every season in this mountain playground. Skiing, snowboarding, biking, kayaking, snowmobiling, ice-skating, cross-country skiing, sleigh rides, dog-sledding, rafting, rock climbing, fly-fishing, hot air balloon rides, horseback riding and of course, relaxing in our world-famous natural mineral hot springs. With over 70 restaurants and bars, the nightlife is pretty great too.
Steamboat recently celebrated its 100th year anniversary and isn’t just another tourist town. Rich in ranching and mining cultural heritage, with working cattle ranches still surrounding this quaint town, Steamboat has an authentic “Old West” ambiance. Cowboy hats, boots, spurs and friendly smiles are not an uncommon sight here. And Steamboat, also known as SkiTown U.S.A.®, has produced more winter Olympians than any other town in North America, with over 69 Olympians calling Steamboat home…20 of them competing in the last Winter games.
For those of you coming for the snow, it doesn’t get any better than Steamboat. With over 350 inches of our legendary Champagne Powder™ every year, 164 trails and nearly 3,000 acres; Steamboat's 6 peaks are filled with groomed cruisers, bumps, steeps, powder-filled open meadows, world-famous trees and an awesome terrain park with North America’s longest super-pipe.
Once you visit Steamboat, you can’t help but come back – it’s just that kind of place.
